Roger Ellis

Roger Ellis is a Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in member. He has a certificate in GIS mapping, a background in architecture, and brings a lot of experience to this board from his work with LARC, FTLAC, and boards and committees.  Roger knows and understands the Yukon Land Claims Agreements from working with Yukon First Nations and doing the negotiations for Yukon First Nations for Category A and B lands.
 
Roger has worked for the C.A.I.R.S Society for 10 years counselling, helping and doing support work with Residential school students applying for their claims.  After he sobered up on March 1st, 1989, Roger took his buddy Jim Sheldon's place at C.A.I.R.S to help others on their healing journey.  He started working for Kwanlin Dün First Nation at Jackson Lake Healing camp in 2010.
 
Roger loves travelling, Hunting, Fishing, Camping and handgames. He loves spending time with his family and grandkids.
