Missy Follwell lived in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta before settling in Yukon where she has spent over thirty years in Whitehorse and the Tagish area.
Missy taught school in Ontario, worked in New Zealand, London, England and Edmonton before her employment as Deputy Clerk of the Yukon Legislative Assembly, a position she held from 1977 until her retirement in 2000.
An active volunteer, Missy has served on the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Board, the Arctic Winter Games Board and as Chair of the Whitehorse Recreation Board. She currently serves on the Yukon Arts Centre Foundation and the Artspace North Boards.
Missy has a long-standing interest in heritage which began as a founding member of the Old Strathcona Heritage Foundation in the early 1970s in Edmonton.
